Murphy Group is preparing plans for a new community at the former gasworks site off Sandhurst Road. Our vision is to transform this underused site and revitalise the area by creating a welcoming, connected community that benefits both new and existing residents.

To achieve this vision, we are proposing to create a landscape-led development of up to 90 new homes, with design and materials inspired by the existing local character of the area. The proposals include high-quality, energy-efficient homes to meet local need, supported by extensive green spaces, new pedestrian and cycle links, and a sustainable approach to water and biodiversity management.

We will shortly be submitting an outline planning application to Tunbridge Wells Borough Council (TWBC), which will set the parameters for delivery of the proposals – the exact detail of which will be refined and confirmed through a subsequent planning application along with preparation of design codes that align with the character and design aspirations set out on this website.
